Note: we recommend to use the screws only together with the supplied nuts. The usage with metallic threads might not fit as the ceramic parts are manufactured in moulds and reach their final dimension after sintering. Hence they have other tolerances than metallic threads.

Boralectric® Heizer

Boralectric© Heizer from Momentive Performance Materials (formerly Advanced Ceramics) are proven for many years as reliable sample heaters in vacuum applications.

The main features of Boralectric
© heaters are:

  • UHV compatible
  • dielectric and chemically inert surface
  • max temp under vacuum of 2000K
  • high heating power (up to 45W/cm²)
  • high temperature rise time (20° to 1000°C in 10 sec.)
  • available in custom sizes
  • built in thermocouple hole (optional)

In this special offer the 2 most common standard heaters HTR1001 and HTR1002 are consifered. They have heating areas of 1" dia and 2" dia, have thermocouple holes in the lateral plane and 2 insulated through holes. These holes can be used for sample mounting or for heater support. Heater Stage

Based on the standard Boralectric heaters HTR1001, HTR1002

and HTR1003 we now also offer ready made Heater Stages. These
are complete sample heater systems on CF-100 (6"OD) flanges

(HTR1003 on CF-160), with heater, 
heat shielding, thermocouple
in the heater, current/thermocouple feedthrough and power supply
with PID temperature controller.


The heater stage is designed such that the distance between flange
and heater plane can be adjusted in a certain range. For details please
see the link below.

The heater is mounted on a support plate which contains a lot of
additional holes which can be used to attach the sample or
analytical instruments.
