Ceramic Components for vacuum applications


 

  • Ceramic Beads (Gelenkperlen)


Ceramic beads (fish spine) can be used to insulate wires for vacuum applications and where higher temperatures are used. Due to the convex and concave shape of the endings the beads allow good insulation integrity even at bent wires.

These ceramic beads are offered in Alumina (Al2O3) and in Steatite. Alumina is preferable for UHV and Steatite for up to high vacuum. Beads are offered in 3 sizes and delivered in packages for 30cm insulation length. For bigger quantities special arrangements can be made.

  •  Split Bushes (Buchse-Gegenbuchse)  


Ceramic split bushes are used for electrical and/or thermal insulation of screw joints, filaments, heaters or sample plates. See below application example showing how the screw head, thread and nut are completely insulated from a support plate.

The split bushes are of Alumina (Al2O3) for the sizes of M2 and M3 threads and Steatite for M5 threads.

Alumina screws are offered in M2x5, M3x10 and M4x10 with nuts. Screws and nuts come with hex heads. Other dimensions are available on request.
